In 2019, my life changed in an instant. After delivering my son via emergency C-section, I faced complications that ultimately led to an emergency hysterectomy to save my life. This unexpected turn of events shattered everything my husband and I had planned for our family. We had always dreamed of having 3 or 4 children, and suddenly, that dream felt out of reach. It’s difficult to grasp the reality of losing the ability to have children, something you’ve always assumed would be possible.

After months of navigating grief and uncertainty, we decided in 2021 to pursue IVF and surrogacy. The journey to growing our family through surrogacy was overwhelming — finding a gestational carrier, understanding the process, and preparing for the emotional, mental, physical, and financial challenges. We were incredibly fortunate to have a loving family member decide to be our gestational carrier, which gave us hope.

By the end of 2022, our gestational carrier helped us bring our beautiful daughter into the world. Today, we are on our second surrogacy journey, this time with a wonderful carrier I connected with through social media. 

Through our experiences, I’ve learned how complex yet beautiful the surrogacy process is. While it is full of hope and miracles, it also comes with many challenges. That’s where I come in. With my personal experience and deep understanding of the process, I’m passionate about making the journey as smooth, simple, and stress-free as possible for others.
